About the show:

On September 3, 1939, Angèle Auger received a letter from Paris, she was accepted at the Beaux-Arts in Paris. On this bench in the Old Port, facing the Good Mother, where she usually escapes to paint, she confides in Faustine, the oldest of the neighborhood: Angèle knows, she will not be able to leave. And for good reason, she has a destiny mapped out here: to marry a good match to take over the grocery store of her father who died a few years ago, which is in the process of falling into bankruptcy. But on this bench, another person is used to meditating, it is Jean-Louis Margaillan, always closely followed by his sister Magalie and his friend Emile. He was not taken to the Beaux-Arts in Paris. The two young people will meet by chance in the midst of their own pain, and without knowing it, will upset their respective destinies. Except that... something more serious worries the young Emile Maurel: the Third Reich has just invaded Poland, a war will very soon disrupt their lives and undermine their ambitions for better destinies...
