COURSE PHILIP GILBERT (PARIS)

The drama course PHILIPPE Gilbert is set in Paris, one evening a week for three hours. 
 
It is a course for amateur theater people, aged 16-45 years who wish to repeat plays contemporary, in a nice atmosphere and does not have enough time to s' enroll in a course 'professional' in the day or several nights weekly. 

At year end, the pieces are played in full, in a Paris theater. 
If you want to play and have fun playing, this course is for you.

THE METHOD

The best way to discover the method taught in this class of amateur theater is to attend a meeting ...

It is based on a simple idea: In life, when we are sincere, we are always right, because our words and our actions are caused by our thoughts and feelings.

It should arrive on scene to reconstruct what one does in life. The difficulty is to reconcile 'life' and 'dramatic technique'.

The work of interpretation (for 2:55) on scenes of contemporary theater, or possibly, if students request it, on film scenes, poems, fables ...
We spend a large part of the course to repeat parts that are played in public at the end of the year.
 
If students wish to work for particular scenes, they may do so after having proposed to me and got my permission. Otherwise, I choose myself to the level of students, their tastes, other scenes they have worked since their arrival in the course ...

The objective of this course is theater:
 
In a first step: to have fun working and playing in sessions.
 
Then: to train professional actors.
 
And of course: to enable students to perform on stage. 
 
During 2004-2005, 14 performances were held between January and June 
 
In January and February 2006, three representation of SANTA CLAUS IS A GARBAGE held in the gymnasium.
Since 2006, a festival every year in theater oganisation The Laurette. Students will interpret pieces (whole) they were repeated during the course.
 
2006: 'YOU HAVE NO FRIENDS' (24 performances)
 
2007: 'CA S'DEVORE' (28 performances)
 
2008: 'THE STORY OF A' (42 performances)
 
2009: 'MY FRIENDS, MY LOVE, MY Fashioned' (40 performances)
 
In 2010, FIVE YEARS !!!', the festival will celebrate its fifth birthday already. 51 performances are scheduled for Friday, May 26 and June 24, 2010.
 
The course is devoted primarily to the repetition of plays at the end of the year. Sometimes we spend a little time on the scenes 'work', which are not played in public, but it is quite rare.
 
Participation in performances is not mandatory. Students who do not wish to perform on stage can take the course in good conditions, without the feeling of being ostracized by other students.
